This is mostly just a journal where I'm going to reflect on a a few things I just feel like getting off my chest. Give it your attention and read to know what I'm feeling or ignore it. Your choice.

Before I go to a long (I mean REALLY long) nostalgic flashback, I wanna say a few quick things.

First of all Mezzo Andante my new OC Tournament is still not doing so good, currently I got a number of watchers and interested artists but it still needs more attention. If you could join, or tell others who are interested in an OC Tournament about it, please do so. I also still need a judge and if anyone wishes to offer prizes to help me it'd be nice.

Also I may be getting a job at the place my dad works as some kind of maintenance help, it's not much but better than going to McDonald's. Not that important but it may take up my time if I do get the job.


Other then that, expect ALOT of random reference sheets. They are not for OC Tournaments yet, I'm just making them out of boredom mostly plus my friend has requested a few of them since she's a writer. Speaking of ym art, I've reached a random artist's block and I my art skills to improve instead of degrade so I'm willing to over FREE sketches to anyone who asks. Just Leave a comment or note me with what you want me to draw, be it a reference sheet, a character sketch, or something else not too difficult for me to draw (Though I will draw straight, yuri, and yaoi pairings I'm not drawing much to it beyond kissing so don't ask me to.)


Now onto my Nostalgia. (Which is the boring part)
Originally I came to DA as a new artist hoping to share my work with others, make new friends, and so on, so on. I had another account name which I've pretty much abandoned and ignored now but meh. Eventually I created a new account (this one). In an attempt to Start over, as my old account was poor drawings and too much role playing in the chat rooms; nothing wrong with that but I wanted to feel like I came to this site for a purpose.

Originally around this time Endzone, the popular OC tournament by , was coming to a close. Originally when I didn't get in I got upset threw a fit and ignored the first-half of the tournament but I drawn back in after coming across some of the entries and comics. I felt bad for ignoring most of these entries and comics by some amazing artists who I shouldn't have been ignoring as a lot of them had talent and creativity and deserved their spot in the tournament. Come on animated mannequins, lucky elderly people, chimbley sweeps, clumsy interns, art-summoning demons. These people had created characters I never felt like I've seen before and a lot of them were entertaining. Some were funny Grampy, Ko-Omote, and The Chimbley Sweep were just lovable, and some were just mind blowing like the entries of Rikyo, Dood Palette, and Climber made me feel like I wouldn't have stood a chance against them.

But the thing was I WASN'T a part of Endzone and I couldn't be no matter what I tried. My only idea was to find another OC Tournament and join that and be a part of it, and I feel like I could have done much better in the tournament but the XFFOCT Tournament was definitely a tournament that I felt proud to be a part of. Sure my character wasn't as mentioned as much as I would have liked her to be, but Vee was a new character I randomly created to be cute and funny. She wasn't developed enough to be a truly LOVABLE character but I'm glad she had some fans.

But more about the tournament, the idea was simple. Originally 24 different artists came together to defeat an overpowered 12 year old. Sure a lot of us made him look like a pushover since he was a 12 year old but he was still super-powered and even I feel like though I cutely stuffed him into a fan-girl box he would have probably escaped.

It was nice having Vee cameo in a few of other people's comics and it was enjoyable to make new friends and learn new things from this tournament. I just hope to find a tournament that brings back those feelings. I have hopes for Mezzo Andante turning out as enjoyable, or the tournaments like Rise and Boomtownoct I plan on trying to join to be fun.
